The AlphaESS SMILE G3 8kW single-phase hybrid inverter sits at the top of the G3 single-phase range, aimed at larger homes with a bigger array and higher peak demand. It combines solar inversion, battery management and backup supply in one IP65 wall-mounted unit, with no separate high-voltage battery box needed.

• 200% PV oversizing across multiple MPP trackers
• 150% overload capability for 30 seconds
It shares the G3 platform's lego-style modular battery design, MPPT shadow scanning, on- and off-grid operation and VPP readiness, and pairs with the SMILE-G3-BAT-3.8S or SMILE-G3-BAT-10.1P battery modules. As an 8kW unit it requires a G99 application and DNO approval before connection.
